UNDISTURBED The night after the poetry reading I slept well but towards morning had a dream in which certain older relations and friends were buried before they were really dead. It's true, they seemed to be dying, but this is murder! I thought, and I felt guilty and fearful of the law, but I admit it was fear of the law that was strongest. But wait, I thought, my siblings helped me and we all agreed, so none of us is likely to report it, and we can still all live easily and long and go to our graves undisturbed by the law.
