NEWS

somewhere peace has begun
the real the permanent peace
the people love each other
all work is respected
no one has to fend for himself
justice can be had for just the seeking
and all agree it is fairly given

but we don't know where this happened--
a small place off the maps and
from the satellites all that can be seen
is the green fur of the heads of trees
moreover they too have forgotten
the way to us
we have become only a theory
or a record of someone's memory
of what he was told as a child
by an old man whose name is now lost
