TO REASON I love you because I am not like you you have a purity and consistency I lack I want to be changed by you and to care for you you are more fragile than I am or perhaps not but still fragile as I am I can offer you protection you cannot give yourself if I enter deeply enough into your heart I know its warmth and rhythm will melt and remake me I want your thoughts to surround me till I cannot escape them can only act within their barriers Reason I cannot explain my love for you though I am scorned for it by all others and sent away from their doors because of the scandal of my adoration I will throw myself at your feet strip naked and shout that I will have nothing that has not come from your hands I will endure the hardship of wilderness no better yet bewilderness out there naked hurt by cold or heat whipped by wind and beaten by the cold rain bitten by those creatures too small to be defended against I will cry Reason! my heart! Reason! my heart! take me into you!
